Dresscode Details
Mercier School of Dance is a mobile dance studio that brings high-quality dance education directly to daycares and learning centers. We are proud of our ability to offer structured dance classes in nontraditional environments.
We require appropriate dance shoes and hair pulled off the face. At most of our locations, dance-specific attire is optional. We recommend athletic clothing that allows movement.
Our team is unable to change dancers’ clothing. Sending your child to school in a “dance-ready” outfit allows us to spend more time dancing and less time in transition!
Below is the general dress code for our classes. Please contact your child’s center directly for specific requirements.
Ballet | Leather or canvas ballet slippers. Hair pulled off face.
Tap | Tap shoes. Hair pulled off face.
Jazz | Jazz shoes or ballet slippers. Hair pulled off face.
Zumba | Clean sneakers. Hair pulled off face.
Highland Classes | Black Highland Ghillies, knee socks, shorts, and a sleeveless tank top. Hair must be off the face, no exceptions.
Competition Dance | Make-up, costumes, and shoes are all required parts of the competition team.
